There has been a swarm of media frenzy surrounding Sarah Palin's 17-year old pregnant daughter Bristol Palin. Which ultimately begs the question, should Palin step down as the presumptive vice presidential nominee for the sake of her daughters privacy? Some say she should. Being the vice president would subject her daughter to media scrutiny and make raising a child as a teenage mother that much more difficult. But others say Palin should accept the nomination. And that this situation is a private family matter in which the media has no business intervening.
The bottom line. Palin's performance as a mother doesn't translate to her political performance. Although having a pregnant teenage daughter doesn't exactly scream "good mother," that doesn't mean she won't she be a good mother to this country. The best thing Palin can do for her daughter at this time is protect her from the media and focus on the McCain campaign.
