The Great Debate

The first of three presidential debates took place Friday night at the University of Mississippi, and voters around the country tuned in to see Sens. Obama and McCain war it out over issues ranging from the current economic crisis to the other candidate's credentials. At USC, students, faculty and community members gathered in Taper Hall to watch the debate and take part in a discussion afterwards led by Dan Schnur.

KCAL 9 News sent one of their reporters to find out what students thought about the candidates after watching the debate. The link to the video clip is below.

The next presidential debate will be on Tuesday, October 7, at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. USC Annenberg School for Communication will again be holding a debate watching event and discussion in ASC 207 at 5 pm. For more on the event, click here.

The final presidential debate will take place Wednesday, October 15, at Hofstra University in New York. Annenberg will be hosting another event at 5 pm in its east lobby, and the discussion afterwards will be led by communication professor Thomas Hollihan and Unruh Institute Director Dan Schnur.
