I think Facebook, especially, is a good network to use about spreading the word about elections to the youth of America. Social network sites help a lot for the campaign and gaining youth votes.
I'm a member of Students for Barack Obama, and aside from clogging my message inbox with constant updates, I really like staying connected to the election in this fashion. I know when to attend what events where, as well as have the option to discuss election issues on the group page.
