Chart

According to the Gallup Poll Obama pulled ahead in regards to voter support after last Thursdays vice presidential debate. Although neither presidential candidates were speaking, many voters felt Palin's performance was sub par, which is reflected in the latest polls, showing a slump in support for McCain. Below is a chart with up-to-date information in regards to registered voter's support for each candidate.

When breaking down the vote by age group, McCain has a 5 percentage point lead with voters age 65 and older, but that's no match for Obama's stronghold on the virgin vote. Obama leads McCain by over 25 percentage points among voters between the ages of 18 to 29. The chart below illustrates the most recent figures regarding the two candidates standing in among various age groups.
